Sunny suggesting that I do some social media freelance, I really had no idea where to start in the beginning but it challenged me to get out of my comfort zone…
As our session date crept closer, I was so excited about having a sense of direction, it really helped with my confidence in applying for jobs. The most insightful and impacting moment of the whole day was when Sunny told me he had been in the same boat and it really reassured me that things will be okay.
You’d think Sunny would miss something…
The main thing I needed help on was my resume and Sunny really helped me with that, everything I needed help on was covered.
And if I’m giving a totally honest critique…
I had none! Sunny is a very good career coach, sent me emails to follow up and gave me a lot of resources to look at.
I sent out 10 resumes afterwards, got 4 interviews and was also offered two jobs!
Striding forward into the next chapter of my story, I’m feeling a lot more confident!
If someone asked me to describe my coaching experience in a single word, I’d say…
Insightful

At first I didn’t know what to think because it was such a major departure from what I had as a resume before…
Sunny has a great understanding of the most effective job search techniques and the best way to “sell yourself”. Whether you are looking for something within the same industry or are looking to change careers, Sunny can create for you a personalized search plan that will really accelerate your search.
Sunny will help you with a paradigm shift that will see you using social media, networking and other tools to really supercharge your search.
Often times people will use the their “regular” search methods that are, quite frankly, outdated and ineffective.
I’ve actually used his services to help me create a much more effective cover letter and resume.
He just delivered them to me and I have to say that he did a great job with it. At first I didn’t know what to think because it was such a major departure from what I had as a resume before. After I read it over a few times I changed my mind … he did a great job in considering the career change that I’m trying to achieve.
Would I recommend him?
He’s a really bright guy and … he can be of major help to you in your search for a job.

Maybe Sunny should try wearing something other than black. It’s a wee depressing but if it brings out his A-game I’m okay with that.
Putting down what I thought was the roadblocks in my job hunting. I think I ended up sending way too much stuff to Sunny, but I know I prefer to have more information rather than less.
As our session date crept closer, I was so excited about our mock interview! They are so incredibly helpful and thank you so much for agreeing it to be filmed.
My biggest problem is that I’m not concise enough…
Wow, I really like his idea of summarizing the Result (out of the STAR method) and get the interviewer’s attention right off the bat. And yes, if they want more information, they will ask. This allows the interviewer to decide if they want more details or not.
The most insightful and impacting moment of the whole day was…
Sunny being very detailed with his questioning during the mock interview. I liked the way he used the information I gave him and made it part of his mock interview.
Sunny was spot on…
There wasn’t one thing I wished was covered more thoroughly. I thought it was very thorough.
And if I’m being totally honest, one specific critique I have is…
Maybe Sunny should try wearing something other than black. It’s a wee depressing but if it brings out his A-game I’m okay with that.
That’s going to be a hard one to fix even for Sunny.
I’m feeling positive. It’s great to have gotten this great feedback. And I need to try not to frown as much but it’s what happens when I’m thinking.
If I were to describe my coaching experience in a single word, I’d say…
Revolutionary!

…You took my words too seriously. For example, I believed and stated that my interests were in ethical investment; a few months later I came to terms with the truth: ethical investment is no where near what I am really interested in. But life is a process of trial an error, eh?
The toughest thing to do was collecting my thoughts, and articulating them in a business like language. It was also difficult to decide which areas of strengths and interests were my true strengths and interests, as I find that strengths are difficult to articulate and I have many interests. Sunny helped me sift through the data and prioritize my thoughts in a persuasive manner.
As our meeting date came closer, I was so excited about talking to someone about how to better understand myself as well as getting the necessary support to create a convincing resume.
When I started reading the marketing materials Sunny had written for me, I thought this is definitely out of the box material…
I was excited with the new direction his work put me in. It also got me thinking differently about resume writing and cover letters.
The most insightful and impacting moment of the whole day was…
The brainstorming session. I realized how scattered my thoughts were and how important it was for me to have Sunny’s help in organizing.
One thing I wish we’d covered more thoroughly is…
Self-evaluation. What are my strengths not based on what I say but, perhaps, via some form of objective testing. This is to say that perhaps there are tests that could challenge my assumptions about myself.
Striding forward into the next chapter of my story, I’m feeling…
Confident in my intuition and my strength as a hard and responsible worker.
If someone asked me to describe my coaching experience in a single word, I’d say…

I was most impressed by his organization and his use of technology to manage his relationships…
Sunny played a significant role in my search for my first job. We met at a Green Drinks and it was he who took the initiative to contact me regarding his career coaching services. He was willing to meet with me on his own time to discuss my job search and he gave me insightful advice.
Overall, I would recommend Sunny to any job seeker.

Most critical to my success however has been your gift in seeing the light in a client’s circumstances, no matter how difficult.
When I doubted my own resiliency you were able to coach me to a different level. It’s taken some time to take hold but I’m there now. You have been one of my teachers… with your assistance I have been able to generate more self-sufficiency for myself. Slowly, optimistically my own consultancy business is more fully being realized. Some of the key strategies you provided around time management are taking root. Your professional in-sights and technical knowledge have abundantly provided everything from daily task management to the selection of my new personal computer.
I just wanted to express how much I value your services and friendship.
Over the past couple years many things from our sessions come to mind. Most critical to my success however has been your gift in seeing the light in a client’s circumstances, no matter how difficult.
Words are not easy to find in expressing my deep thanks. I wish you the very best.

I know Sunny because we are friends and I’m a past client of his. The one thing I really admire about Sunny is his willingness to unselfishly help others.

Sunny has the great ability to listen and put thoughts onto paper and so developing road-maps that can lead to success…
Alternative approaches to a business question are put on paper so that when a particular avenue does not work one can go back and revisit the discussion. He puts his ideas forth and translates what is said into action. For example he generated a video about my company, which he put up on his blog.
Sunny is very pleasant to work with and helps tremendously by tireless encouragement and his insightful coaching style.
