Hey there it’s me Sunny Lam, the Shinobi Career Coach and welcome to another round of coaches corner!
So lately I’ve been dealing with a client that’s really having trouble positioning herself and her story in a way that really shows her in the best possible light.
The issue is she feels that she’s not being honest about what she’s doing and the reality is everything is like a gem: you can look at it in different ways it’s still a gem.
It’s the same gem – you’re just looking at different facet of it.
So the issue for other job seekers today is to be confident in your successes and really find the strong strengths and amazing impacts of everything that you’ve done.
How many people did you reach?
Who did you work with?
Or whether big names were involved.
Things like that – the details.
Look at the entire story before you write any sentence.
List all of the great things, the impacts, the numbers, the details of things about the successes and then select the ones that really highlight you in the best possible light whether it’s your resume, for your 30 second elevator pitch, whatever it is and use that.
